Not too long ago, in a galaxy not unlike this one, Norman wakes to find himself in a strange world; a land of dodgy gangsters, inept chefs and ridiculous fairies. The place is Voluntaria. His quest - to overcome the dark forces. Will he and Norris the Gnome live happily ever after? Just who is Mr Big? And how many times does Clarissa the Compact Fairy really need to have her wings revarnished? Find out on 22nd September.

Act On It! is theatre with a difference. Fun, lively and interactive, it addresses some of the realities of working in the voluntary and community sectors; How do you get your messages heard? How do you communicate more effectively with groups and individuals? And how do you stand up for your groups?

Act On It! takes place at the Wilde Theatre at South Hill Park, Bracknell, on Thursday 22 September at 12.30pm and 6.30pm, and it’s entirely free for trustees, committee members, members of staff, volunteers or service users of groups in Bracknell.

The event is a great opportunity for voluntary and community sector workers to find out about available support networks and meet with people from other groups. It’s also an opportunity to join the ‘Compact’. The ‘Compact’ is a partnership agreement between the voluntary and community sectors in Bracknell Forest and Bracknell Forest Borough Council, Bracknell Forest Primary Care Trust and Thames Valley Police. It sets out the principles and values of partnership working, rights and responsibilities of all parties to the ‘Compact’ and creates a framework for implementation, commitment and review.

Bracknell Forest Voluntary Action is a local development agency. Non profit-making and independent of local and national government, it provides resources such as photocopying, seminars, newsletters and equipment hire, as well as information and help regarding issues such as funding.
