Interactive, Performance-Based Training for the Voluntary Sector

Act On It! is a training event with a difference. Comprising a series of humorous and thought-provoking sketches about the challenges of working in the voluntary and community sector, it’s an ideal way of communicating with the people you represent and raising awareness of issues that are immediately relevant to them.

Act On It! Follows the fortunes of Norman, who in his efforts to set up a voluntary organisation, must overcome many an obstacle. Between scenes, the audience has the opportunity to suggest ways of resolving the dilemmas faced by Norman. Guided by the Compact Fairy, delegates can share ideas, come up with new solutions and interact with each other as well as the characters they meet in the fictional world of Voluntaria.

Act on It! also gives delegates the opportunity to meet and network with their counterparts in other voluntary sector organisations, discover their issues and find out what benefits signing up to the Compact Agreement could have for them.

Act On It! is a cost-effective way of communicating with large and medium-sized groups of people. It is best performed in a theatre venue but can be adapted to most spaces. The show includes five professional actor/facilitators, a technician, special effects, costumes and props. CentreStage also provides marketing materials and event feedback/evaluation, as well as a consultation service prior to the event.
