Managing Change

The success of any organisational change initiative depends on many factors; vision, infrastructure, planning, management. But one of the biggest obstacles is people. That’s not because people are inherently anti-change, but because change often isn’t communicated to them in an effective way. Most people will in fact embrace initiatives provided the change has a positive meaning for them and offers them the opportunity for a creative challenge.

Roleplay and forum theatre are an excellent addition to any course around managing change. They give delegates the opportunity to practise communicating a vision, overcoming objections and identifying individual fears.

These techniques also offer participants the chance to make mistakes and to see the possible consequences. Learn from that mistake, and you will avoid doing the same back in the workplace.
